Daily Summary of Events
1-5 Jun 69: HMM-364 flew 745 sorties for 182.8 flight hours, lifting 77.1 tons of cargo, 987 troops/passengers and expended 1,300 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Thirty-eight medevac missions carried 25 Emergency, 14 Priority and 25 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operations and Units: Oklahoma Hills, Pipestone Canyon, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Three enemy fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits. 6 Jun 69: HMM-364 flew 236 sorties for 50.2 flight hours, lifting 38.2 tons of cargo, 462 troops/passengers and expended 60 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Ten medevac missions carried 9 Emergency, 2 Priority and 4 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Oklahoma Hills, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Two enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-11 receiving one hit. 7 Jun 69: HMM-364 flew 192 sorties for 53.0 flight hours, lifting 8.5 tons of cargo, 243 troops/passengers and expended 500 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Twenty-seven medevac missions carried 8 Emergency, 19 Priority and 83 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Oklahoma Hills, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Two enemy fire incidents were reported with no aircraft receiving hits. YK-9 was involved in a mishap which resulted in the aircraft being destroyed. Two men died and two men were injured as a result of this mishap. 8-10 Jun 69: HMM-364 flew 432 sorties for 115.1 flight hours, lifting 44.6 tons of cargo, 325 troops/passengers and expending 700 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Fifty-one medevac missions carried 19 Emergency, 42 Priority and 34 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Oklahoma Hills, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Nine enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-12 7/8 receiving one hit and YK-19 receiving six hits. 11-15 Jun 69: HMM-364 flew 646 sorties for 171.0 flight hours, lifting 85.7 tons of cargo, 762 troops/passengers and expending 350 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Forty-nine medevac missions carried 27 Emergency, 21 Priority and 56 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Oklahoma Hills, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Three enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-5 receiving one hit. 16-20 Jun 69: HMM-364 flew 571 sorties for 156.3 flight hours, lifting 63.7 tons of cargo, 919 troops/passengers and expended 300 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Forty-two medevac missions carried 26 Emergency, 16 Priority and 43 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Oklahoma Hills, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Three enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-5 receiving ten hits. 21-25 Jun 69: HMM-364 flew 624 sorties for 149.6 flight hours, lifting 93.4 tons of cargo, 1,213 troops/passengers and expended 60 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Forty-five medevac missions carried 24 Emergency, 51 Priority and 43 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Oklahoma Hills, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Three enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-4 receiving six hits. 26-30 Jun 69: HMM-364 flew 685 sorties for 155.5 flight hours, lifting 92.2 tons of cargo, 795 troops/passengers and expended 400 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Forty-four medevac missions carried 32 Emergency, 34 Priority and 28 Routine evacuees in support of the following Operation and Units: Oklahoma Hills, Victory Dragon, 1st MARDIV, MAG-16 and HMM-364. Three enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-4 receiving six hits with one man WIA. To recap the month of June , HMM-364 flew 4,131 sorties for 1,033.5 flight hours during the period with an average availability of 7 aircraft, lifting 5,706 troops/passengers and 503.4 tons of cargo. 306 medevac missions evacuated a total of 685 evacuees of which 170 were Emergency, 199 Priority and 316 Routine. A total of 3,670 rounds of .50 caliber ammunition was expended. |
